Face recognition
Computer vision (image recognition) is a dynamically developing area with great potential for use in many business solutions. Contrary to a common misconception, the tools to use this technology are not only available to giants such as Tesla, but to a growing group of companies operating on a smaller scale. We have made every effort to ensure that our clients can stay ahead of the competition in this area! What possibilities does technology provide?
Employee identification allows e.g.
✔ Customization of information displayed on information screens from people viewing them. (Pending orders, reports, etc.)
✔ Registration of activities without the need for physical IDs (which can be destroyed or lost).
✔ Blocking access after a specified time after departure from the terminal, or the appearance of bystanders in the camera frame.
Face detection allows e.g.
✔ Detection of presence in given areas and estimation of traffic volume.
Face analysis in terms of gender, age and emotions allows, for example,
✔ Collecting the statistics of visitors without taking into account e.g. age, with the possibility of reporting by gender, days of the week, hours of visits.
✔ Adaptation of information / advertising content to the age and gender of the recipient / recipients.
And these are just a few of the more obvious uses!
How it's working?
No additional devices or specialized cameras are required! All you need is a laptop or a smartphone with an ordinary camera to take advantage of all the benefits. Importantly, in Cloud TSL we approach the subject comprehensively - we pay attention to performance like and privacy hence we decided to implement the technology both on the client and server side. Thanks to this, the entire process is flexible and gives more possibilities than with the standard approach.
In the case of solutions based on a web application, face detection along with all its features (age, gender, emotions) takes place on the browser side - locally, no image and no data are sent to the server. Thanks to this, the Internet connection is not burdened in any way and the full privacy of users is maintained.
If, in addition to detection, it is to be used face recognition specific people - then it takes place on the server side. As a result, the biometric data of individual users are secured and never shared outside the system. After detecting the face, the local application sends the graphic file to the server where it is processed and machine learning algorithms return a list of people visible in the frame.
The system also provides the ability to connect IP cameras directly to the server and perform face detection and recognition without the use of client devices.
